Are you looking for an opportunity to have an enterprise impact? In this role, you can influence our engineering and business culture. As a Principal Engineer, you will define platform-wide architecture supporting WFG's enterprise modernization. You will enable our teams to use spec-driven development with Kiro as an AI assistant and other modern development practices to accelerate development and improve quality., * Lead cross-program architecture and guide multi-domain technical decisions.

Use Kiro to generate prototypes, validate architecture, and accelerate design.

Define integration strategy, data models, and shared technical standards.

Participate in enterprise committees defining engineering and architecture principles.

Serve as subject matter expert across multiple domains.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Eight years of experience with distributed applications and microservices.

Expertise in Java/.NET, microservices, and distributed system design.

Deep cloud experience (AWS/Azure).

Advanced understanding of NoSQL and relational modeling.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with enterprise modernization.

Experience raising the engineering and operational standards.

Experience coaching engineers in a Scaled Agile environment

Experience with analytics, ML, or streaming architectures.

- Moderate Travel 10 to 25%, The Salary for this position generally ranges between $158,000 - $200,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in one of our hub locations (Philadelphia, PA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Denver, CO). Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
