Job description

HRSD Development

  • Design, configure, and develop solutions within ServiceNow HRSD, including: o Case and service management o Lifecycle events o HR catalog and services o Employee Center / HR portals

  • Build and maintain workflows using Flow Designer and legacy Workflow where needed.

  • Configure business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and script includes.

  • Develop and maintain integrations supporting HRSD (e.g., Workday, identity systems, document tools).

  • Support upgrades, patching, and testing for HRSD releases. Portal & Experience Configuration

  • Design and configure ServiceNow portals and Employee Center experiences.

  • Customize widgets, themes, layouts, and UX using: o HTML, CSS, JavaScript o AngularJS (for legacy portals) o Now Experience UI Framework where applicable

  • Ensure portals are intuitive, accessible, and aligned to branding standards.

  • Optimize performance and usability across desktop and mobile.

  • Platform & Development Leadership.

  • Lead technical design for HRSD initiatives.

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Enforce development standards, documentation, and code quality.

  • Mentor junior developers and review code.

  • Partner with architects and platform leads on long-term roadmap and platform strategy. Support & Optimization

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex HRSD and portal issues.

  • Support production incidents and enhancement requests.

  • Drive continuous improvement in performance, automation, and user experience.

Requirements

Work Experience: 5-8+ years of ServiceNow development experience and 3+ years of hands-on HRSD development experience, + Strong experience with ServiceNow portals and Employee Center.

  • Advanced skills in: o JavaScript o ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes) o Flow Designer o UI customization

  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, AD, Okta).

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model, ACLs, and security.

  • ServiceNow HRSD Implementation Specialist or Developer certification. (Preferred)

  • Experience with Now Experience UI Framework. (Preferred)

  • Experience with Virtual Agent / HR chatbots. (Preferred)

  • Experience in large enterprise, global environments. (Preferred)

  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience. (Preferred)

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to lead technical discussions with non-technical partners.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and scalability.

  • Comfortable owning solutions end-to-end.

  • Collaborative and mentor-oriented mindset. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
