Job description

  • Capture and document theater-level Lessons Learned across Marine Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC) area of operations
  • Integrate joint Lessons Learned from U.S. military services operating within Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM)
  • Coordinate and integrate coalition Lessons Learned from partner nations and allied forces
  • Support Operational Plan and Operational Order development by incorporating relevant Lessons Learned into operational planning processes
  • Manage Lessons Learned flows and workflows to ensure timely dissemination to appropriate stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Indo-Pacific Command staff, component commands, and subordinate Marine units on Lessons Learned matters
  • Analyze theater-level trends and patterns to identify systemic issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership
  • Maintain Lessons Learmed databases and knowledge management systems for theater-level operations
  • Support after-action review processes for major exercises, operations, and engagements
  • Facilitate Lessons Learned working groups and coordination meetings with joint and coalition partners
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of relevant military, joint operations, or analytical experience
  • Graduate of Marine Corps Command & Staff College or Marine Corps Senior Enlisted Professional Military Education course (preferred)
  • Retired or former Marine Corps Officer (O-4 and above) or Senior Enlisted (E-8/E-9) strongly preferred, * Experience in military planning, operations, or management analysis at the theater or joint level
  • Knowledge of Indo-Pacific Command operations, theater strategy, and joint/coalition operations
  • Understanding of Operational Plan and Operational Orders development processes
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills with ability to brief senior leaders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, military planning tools, and knowledge management systems
  • Experience working in joint or coalition environments highly desirable.
  • May require extended hours to support planning cycles and operational requirements
  • Occasional attendance at exercises or conferences may be required
  • Moderate travel required for coordination with subordinate commands, joint partners, and coalition forces throughout the Indo-Pacific theater
  • Ability to communicate and interface with Military leaders and commanders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, build rapport with end users, customers, and unit leaders in order to develop effective working relationships

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret preferred.
