Job description
This position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting all computer and network components-including servers, switches, and cabling-at assigned locations. They configure Cisco switches, document network configurations, ensure production floor connectivity, and resolve hardware/software issues., * Network Maintenance: Support and manage all network components, including routers, switches, and cabling.
- Production Support: Provide hardware and network support specifically for "Production Floor" computer systems.
- System Configuration: Program Cisco switches for Local Area Network (LAN) functionality.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for site-specific technologies and standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshooting: Perform diagnostics for network, hardware, and software issues.
- Project Management: Execute technology projects in compliance with IT standards.
- Printer Support: Support all printer functions at assigned locations
Requirements

Technical Skills: Deep understanding of VLANs and network components.

Support Level: Roles may require 24/7 on-call support.

Focus: Strong emphasis on maintaining connectivity and performance to minimize downtime

Three years related experience

Working/troubleshooting knowledge of Windows /2003/2008 Server, Windows XP, Vista,

Must have knowledge of Network cabling and connectivity

MCSE Certification is a plus; not required

A+ Certification is a plus; not required

Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Must have strong customer support abilities

Must be willing to work in a plant / industrial environment

Must be willing to travel.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High School Diploma/GED; Associates degree or two years of college coursework within specific subject related to position functions.
