Job description

Insight Global is sourcing for a Sr QA Automation Engineer to sit onsite in Hyderabad, India for one of our fastest growing start up clients. This person will be responsible for, * Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks.

  • Create and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to best practices in test automation. This role can pay 20-35LPA depending on years of experience and skillset.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus
