Job description
The VP/Technology & Organizational Velocity develops the Credit Union's core system infrastructure strategy with the Chief Digital & Information Officer, leads changes supporting the adoption of current and emerging technologies, plans core system infrastructure in alignment with credit union-wide business requirements, and ensures stability & compliance with regulatory mandates. This individual is responsible for budgeting, setting service standards, handling escalations, managing the core system & external core applications, overseeing the programming analysis, coding and testing functions. This position has a starting annual rate of $160,800 , but your offer amount may be increased with relevant work experience and transferable skills.
A Day in the life of a VP/Technology & Organizational Velocity can look like: Oversee annual budgets for the Core System Operations and Software Development teams in collaboration with the Chief Digital & Information Officer. Provide technical leadership for the Manager/Software Development and support for applications programming and software testing team members. Ensure capacity planning and vendor management of the core system and ancillary systems. Ensure core system backup infrastructure and support are delivered and proactively planned to avoid business disruption. Maintain technical specifications and related documentation to ensure ongoing full service operation of core system functions. Conduct ongoing evaluation of infrastructure and services to identify opportunities for improvement, cost effective solutions, migration to cloud, Artificial Intelligence, etc. Lead the planning and implementation of core system disaster recovery and business continuity efforts; ensuring that institutional data is managed, archived, and stored securely in both local and offsite repositories. This includes data at rest as well as data in transit. Execute technology projects, including working with multiple vendors, PMO and other resources to deliver projects on-time and within budget. Research current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development. Identify opportunities for improvements, expansion, and/or reduction of services that meet the needs of the enterprise. Provide vision, direction, and coaching to help the Core System Operations and the Software Development teams achieve results, while establishing clear accountability and ownership throughout both teams. Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Team motivation (leadership skill)?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, High school diploma or equivalent. 8 years of programming experience. 10 years of experience managing developers and the development function. Minimum 6 years of experience working in an IT environment at a financial institution. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects simultaneously. Demonstrated advanced logic and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated professional and interpersonal skills for leading, motivating, and communicating with team members. Extensive knowledge of computer, network, and security systems.
You might also have: Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science-related field. 3 years of Symitar experience.
