Job description
As a Network Infrastructure Engineer with one of our clients, you will be part of a global team responsible for architecting, standardizing, and deploying new infrastructure technologies including Software Defined Networking, Traffic switching, High Density Wireless architecture, and Network Security. In this position, the engineer will be working directly with corporate and internal lines of business to support growth through project-based initiatives., * Implement Network Infrastructure solutions (Lan, wifi, WAN) using Cisco and other vendor products to support corporate business initiatives
- Duties are project work which includes integrating remote offices of acquisitions
- Communication with the project team, internal customer, and remote networking groups to understand requirements for integration
- Collaborate with your team to align infrastructure standards for architecture and configuration to meet corporate requirements
- Participate in planning of new technologies to drive infrastructure that aligns with the strategic roadmap
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade software and operating systems when required.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and connectivity problems virtually and onsite as needed support at HQ
- Roll over NOC support as needed
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum 4-5 years of progressive experience in managing a Virtual environment
- Experience in supporting Azure/GCP Public cloud is a definite advantage
- Practical experience with Firewalls, load balancers and network simulators
- Systems/Network Monitoring Experience
- Windows, RHELinux and associated clusters
- Experience with a scripting language such as tcl, Perl, Python, and writing shell scripts
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with SDWAN technologies such as Velocloud
- Experience with DNA-C leveraging automation and orchestration to push standard configurations and to use plug in play for hardware deployments.
- CCIE Routing and Switching
