Job description
A large healthcare organization is seeking a Network Engineer to support the performance and stability of its enterprise network across hospitals, clinics, and administrative sites. This engineer will monitor network health, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement routine changes involving switches, routers, wireless systems, and other core infrastructure. They will handle both physical and logical installation of network equipment, resolve incoming tickets, and collaborate with IS teams and vendors to maintain reliable operations. The role also includes assisting with smaller infrastructure projects, contributing to documentation, and supporting ongoing process improvements. Some after hours and on call work will be required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 3-5 years of experience installing and supporting complex information systems
- Strong Experience with LAN/WAN environments, Multi-layer switching & routing, OSPF & BGP, ACLS, Wireless LAN controllers & wireless survey tools, Client/server networking.
- Ability to configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network systems.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 IBS
- Must have dependable transportation
- Must be available for callback support
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Healthcare environment experience Cisco certifications (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
