Job description
Responsible for participating as an individual contributor in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, new product implementation, implementing existing products and services and the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Interfaces with vendors, engineering and peer operations organizations. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise., This engineer supports the Unified Communication engineering team building and enhancing DevOps processes across our portfolio of customer facing and analytics applications and platforms., * Cluster Maintenance: Monitor, patch, and maintain OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability.
- Infrastructure Automation: Assist in automating cluster provisioning and configuration management using Ansible or Terraform.
- Application Deployment: Support DevOps teams by managing containerized application deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshooting: Act as a first-level support escalation for platform-related issues.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for infrastructure configurations and operational procedures.
Additional Tasks
- Build Automation into all aspects of the DevSecOps process using tools.
- Work closely with cyber and compliance teams to ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
- Help educate and on-board development teams to follow and adopt the defined DevOps standards.
- Build on Observability & Monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Grafana and other custom-built solutions.
- Ensure timely delivery of services and compliance with SLAs.
- Help define governance around and standards around data and infrastructure assets.
Requirements
Skills & Experience We're Seeking (5-7 years of relevant experience):
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Experience with Linux system administration (e.g., RHEL).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
- 5-7 years working IT operations or development.
- 2+ years of experience working with AWS technologies.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Experience with GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD).
- Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP) and security best practices (RBAC)., Bachelor's Degree
