Job description

As a Data Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and security of our organizational data. You will collaborate closely with various departments to implement best practices for data governance and quality, directly impacting our decision-making processes and operational efficiency., * Design, implement, and maintain robust data models and database structures.

  • Develop and execute data quality initiatives, including data cleansing and validation processes.
  • Create and manage data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage documentation.
  • Administer data access controls and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Automate data import, export, and transformation processes using scripting languages and ETL tools.
  • Support data migration projects, guaranteeing data accuracy and minimal disruption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a data management, data analysis, or database administration role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and data quality frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of data security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts., * Master's degree in a quantitative field.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Certification in data management (e.g., CDMP).
