Job description
This position supports the National Security Space Mission Segment, under Sensing Ground, working within the Vehicle Unique Element (VUE) family of programs.
As a Software Engineering Technical Authority, you will:

Have the opportunity to lead several large ground software capabilities that are cross-cutting through multiple Agile Development Teams (ADTs); with opportunities to grow responsibilities to related efforts within the customer base.

Serve in a technical project management lead role for one of our subcontractor teams working with our external mission partners to ensure quality within our Enterprise-level technical solutions.

Work with a stellar leadership team to guide execution and be the primary customer interface for the VUE programs.

The position requires the individual to facilitate resolution of programmatic, technical, contractual and execution issues within and between geographically dispersed, system engineering and agile software development teams and mission partners.
Requirements
Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer, Sr Staff with an active Top Secret clearance to work from our King of Prussia, PA location.
This is a SR CAREER (level 5) ROLE where candidates typically require 8+ years of professional experience and a BS degree., * Recent experience in a technical or programmatic lead role on large scale software development project(s) leveraging an agile methodology.

Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and project/program management (PM) concepts

Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interface at all levels and with multiple departments virtually.

Outstanding organizational skills and ability to independently problem-solve.

Active Top Secret security clearance (with SCI eligibility) prior to starting this position. Desired Skills:

Software Development and/or System Engineering experience in the Space / Aerospace & Defense Industry.

Cost account manager (CAM) experience or training; demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets and control costs.

Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment
