Job description
The Technical Analyst serves as the technical authority for laboratory methods, instrumentation, and analytical validity within the Chemistry department. This role is responsible for ensuring the scientific integrity, technical compliance, and defensibility of analytical data generated by the laboratory. The focus is exclusively on technical oversight, method authority, and quality compliance., * Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to laboratory personnel.
- Ensure analytical activities comply with scientific standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Oversee technical oversight of laboratory instrumentation, ensuring readiness and compliance.
- Lead method authorization, validation, and technical review of analytical data.
- Share accountability for the technical accuracy and integrity of laboratory reports prior to release.
- Develop and oversee technical training programs and competency standards to ensure staff proficiency and cross-functional coverage.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks within laboratory processes.
- Perform sample preparation, analytical testing, and data interpretation as required.
- Author, revise, and manage controlled SOPs in accordance with regulatory standards and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Oversee SOP review, change control, and QA/QC approval processes, ensuring alignment with validated methods and regulatory expectations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing technical documentation and evidence of compliance.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline, OR Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 24 semester credit hours of chemistry coursework.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in analytical laboratory operations.
- Experience with ICP OES, ICP-MS, and AA (Atomic Absorption), with ICP OES and ICP-MS being most critical.
- Knowledge of TNI 2016 standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in environmental chemistry, metal materials, and materials science.
