Job description

Lead enterprise data engineering strategy, architecture, and delivery while overseeing scalable cloud data platforms and enabling advanced analytics and AI initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Execute the enterprise data engineering roadmap aligned to business objectives
Oversee design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-scale data pipelines, warehouses, and lakehouses across AWS and Azure
Provide 60% hands-on production support and operational oversight
Lead and manage onshore and offshore data engineering teams (task oversight and delivery management)
Drive incident management, performance optimization, and operational excellence
Implement best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT, orchestration, and API integrations
Partner with BI, Data Science, Product, IT, and business leaders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
Establish frameworks for data quality, lineage, observability, governance, and security
Lead CDP architecture and real-time data integration initiatives
Support AI/ML initiatives and implement MLOps best practices

Requirements

Must-Haves:

8 years of experience in data warehousing and ETL development (MS SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar)
6 years of advanced SQL development (queries, stored procedures, views, triggers)
3 years leading and managing data engineering teams
3 years of experience with reporting/visualization tools (SSRS, Power BI, Tableau)
Experience leading AI/ML teams as a people leader
Hands-on expertise in Microsoft data ecosystem (SQL Server, Azure SQL, ADF, Fabric, Power BI, CDP)
Experience building and optimizing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS)
Strong understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and best practices
Strategic mindset with the ability to be hands-on when needed
Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
Work authorization: USC or GC
