Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented IT Administrator to support our internal technology operations. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced professional environment. The position combines technical support, operational coordination, and in-office responsibilities., * Serve as a first point of contact for internal IT requests via the firm's IT ticketing inbox

  • Triage, track, and escalate IT issues to ensure timely resolution
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including setting up and configuring user accounts, hardware, and system access
  • Package, ship, and receive IT equipment (laptops, monitors, accessories) for employees
  • Provide basic troubleshooting support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure accurate tracking
  • Coordinate with internal team members and external vendors as needed
  • Support in-office IT needs during designated in-office days

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS support?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 0-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or related field

  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and common software (Windows, Microsoft 365, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively
  • Clear communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Comfortable handling physical tasks such as packaging and moving equipment

Requirements:

  • Must be based in the Chicago area
  • Ability to work in-office at least 2 days per week
  • Ability to lift and move standard office equipment (e.g., laptops, monitors)

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience with ticketing systems or IT support tools
  • Exposure to user onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Familiarity with IT security practices, * Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

  • IT: 1 year (Preferred)
