Job description

The purpose of this position is to be closely involved in the design, implementation, maintenance and support of administrative computer systems. Primary responsibilities are application development, database maintenance, and integration of data between systems, web development for software applications and user training and support. Serve as a liaison between departments and vendor support. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Write scripts, queries, stored procedures and ad hoc reports. Provide operating system and application system support for all college personnel
  • Supports integration of information processes between software systems. includes updates, software installs and upgrades. Student/course file imports
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of system user accounts, student email accounts, and various application software user accounts
  • Provide user training for operating system and application systems
  • Process maintenance of Technology purchases
  • Tests and communicates with Jenzabar helpdesk to resolve systems issues
  • Collaborate with vendors to complete system integrations in order to provide better opportunities for our students
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.

Requirements

Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent

Bachelors degree preferred Required Skills & Abilities

  • Can operate a personal computer and knowledge of various operating systems
  • Strong Microsoft office product knowledge
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain system operations and processes to end users
  • Microsoft SQL ski s
  • Programming Skills
  • Ability to work well with others & Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills & Abilities Required Experience Four (4) years application development, system solution, or related experience

Preferred Experience Experience ERP system for education; managing multi-server and application environment preferred Database administration and integration processes between information systems experience preferred
