Job description

Our AI/Cloud Systems Engineer will design and oversee the integration of all components (cloud, AI, security, APIs) to implement the documented solution, ensuring scalability, compliance, and interoperability. This role is critical for ensuring the solution meets operational, security, and scalability needs while aligning with future AI/ML advancements., * Architect end-to-end system integration, including Kubernetes, AWS, MCP, and RESTful APIs.

  • Ensure compatibility between AI data pipelines, document vectorization, and human evaluation systems.
  • Develop system diagrams and documentation for deployment, maintenance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with security teams to enforce ABAC, encryption, and RMF compliance.
  • Lead testing and validation of cross-domain workflows (e.g., JWICS/C2S).

Requirements

  • 5+ years in system architecture or cloud engineering.
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and API integration.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and cross-domain data sharing (CDS).

The physical requirements of this position include:

  • Ability to work at a desk for approximately 8 hours / day for a full 5 day workweek
  • Ability to work in a SCIF environment, potentially co-located with govt customers, for some full workdays

  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent experience

  • 9+ years w/ High School Diploma
  • 5+ years w/ Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or PhD
