Job description

As a Workday Developer, you will be responsible for sourcing and analyzing data gathered from HR systems and other data sources, and working with various internal partners and management to best drive the Bank's people system and database management. You'll define and prioritize data requirements, publish regular reports, and provide communication materials to management and employees. Your work product is responsible for informing management of critical trends and implementing solutions to help us meet our business objectives and enhance the employee experience. Your responsibilities will include oversight in evaluating system functionality, identifying gaps, and making recommendations for enhanced solutions. This role will be responsible in assessing, developing, and configuring the HRIS system and documenting efficient HR processes ensuring greater ROI on HR systems. Create and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports for HR and organization. Monitors and ensures data integrity using audit tools and alerts.

  • This role will be 50% Workday integration development with Workday Studio and 50% Workday extend development.
  • Responsible for supporting the Human Resource Business Partners and leadership in researching, analyzing, maintaining, and presenting data. Apply business knowledge to analyze and interpret data sets and identify root causes of problems and performance exposures in the current HRIS.
  • Design and build Workday HCM integration development using tools like EIB, Workday Studio, Workday Extend, Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Workday Integrations and Workday extend technical development.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of direct experience in Workday Technical Development, Information Technology, or similar field.
  • Highly proficient using EIB's, Workday Studio, XML, XLST and JSON.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Workday concepts, architecture, infrastructure, etc.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in designing and developing Workday Extend applications and Orchestrations.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards, and practices, specifically with audit and SOX compliance.
  • Knowledge of designing and developing agentic AI solutions or experience with Workday Agent Builder is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, with especially advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, nested formulas, and lookups desired. Tableau Reporting experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently. Must have an ownership mentality with strong organizational and planning skills.

  • One or more of the following Workday certifications preferred: HCM, Studio, Extend or Security.

Benefits & conditions

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $121,870.00 - $150,546.66 for Chicago, IL. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
