Job description
ATS is looking for a qualified Tech Data Specialist to support the LFS PLM at CPE ST3., * Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation including Technical Data Packages (TDPs), drawings, firmware documentation, maintenance manuals, New Equipment Training (NET) materials, and logistics documentation in support of BATL and ARC sustainment activities.
- Ensure configuration control of all technical data by supporting Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes, incorporating approved engineering changes, maintaining revision histories, and publishing updated documentation to Government repositories.
- Conduct parts analysis and obsolescence (DMSMS) assessments to identify end-of-life components, evaluate form-fit-function alternatives, and support proactive lifecycle sustainment planning.
- Support inventory management, spare parts cataloging, and data reporting requirements by maintaining accurate records of configuration baselines, component availability, and sustainment trends., Work will be performed in a combination of contractor office spaces, warehouse/depot facilities, Government offices, and operational field environments. Duties include coordination within a climate-controlled logistics facility supporting electronic components and spare parts inventory, as well as participation in meetings at Government and contractor sites. Positions may require travel to CONUS (and potentially OCONUS) military installations to support live-fire training ranges, conduct on-site troubleshooting, integration, and program reviews. Field support activities may involve outdoor environments and operational range conditions. Compliance with applicable security, cybersecurity, OPSEC, and safety requirements is mandatory.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical documentation?, * Minimum of four (4) years of experience in technical writing, configuration management, sustainment documentation, or lifecycle support within a DoD or defense-related environment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting TDP updates, document revision control, parts cataloging, or DMSMS/obsolescence analysis for electromechanical or electronic systems.
- Working knowledge of configuration management principles, MIL-STD documentation practices, and lifecycle logistics support processes.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, as required by the contract; must comply with applicable OPSEC and cybersecurity requirements.
- Ability to coordinate with engineers, logisticians, and Government stakeholders to collect, validate, and publish technical data accurately and efficiently.
- Strong written communication, document control, and analytical skills with attention to detail in managing controlled technical information.
