Job description
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer / Reverse Engineer to support advanced engineering initiatives focused on mobile and networked devices. In this role, you will design, develop, and integrate software capabilities that enable secure and efficient operation across embedded platforms. You will work closely with analysts, operators, engineers, and other subject matter experts to address complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions. As part of a highly collaborative and fast-moving team, you will contribute to both prototyping new approaches and enhancing existing capabilities in support of critical operational needs. Responsibilities Research and develop proof-of-concept techniques for application communications and operations Develop and maintain embedded applications and supporting data transfer code Reverse engineer embedded devices and network protocols Gather and translate requirements into impactful software solutions Leverage AI/LLM tools to accelerate development and improve efficiency Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions
Requirements
Do you have experience in UNIX?, Do you have a Master's degree?, 12+ years with a Bachelor's degree, OR 10+ years with a Master's degree, OR 4 additional years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree, Experience providing technical leadership within software development teams Strong understanding of network stacks and programming concepts Expertise working within Linux/Unix environments Production-grade software development experience in C, C++, Python, or Rust Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence Nice to Haves Rust proficiency Experience with tools such as mitmproxy Experience with reverse engineering tools (e.g., Ghidra, radare2) Mobile application development experience

The projected compensation range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 (annualized USD).
