About the company
We're in the middle of migrating from two legacy standalone SQL servers to our new DBaaS environment. This is a significant undertaking that involves migrating all our ETL processes and data transformations to the new servers, converting SQL Agent jobs over to Autosys automation, and redesigning our entire database architecture.
The legacy environment was built out over time with many databases based on source and function. We're modernizing this with a medallion approach using Bronze, Silver, and Gold databases for data ingestion, along with centralized databases for Master Data Sets and Reporting.
One important consideration: we have a dependent reporting team with over 300 Tableau and PowerBI dashboards and reports currently consuming data from the legacy servers. All the data processes and transformations need to be migrated and converted to work in the new DBaaS environment so these dashboards and reports can be pointed to the new servers., About ManpowerGroup, Parent Company of: Manpower, Experis, Talent Solutions, and Jefferson Wells
