Day to Day
- Install and maintain server racks and hardware components
- Perform break-fix repairs and troubleshoot hardware and network issues
- Respond to operational incidents impacting service availability and escalate when necessary
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders (engineers, vendors, contractors, etc.)
- Participate in on-call rotations, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities
- Create and maintain documentation; contribute to process improvements
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members
This is an onsite position requiring four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours total) with no expected overtime. The role is based in a data center environment and requires the ability to work long shifts and respond to operational needs. The following physical requirements apply: Physical Requirements
- Lift and/or move up to 40 lbs; assist with heavier team lifts
- Work in confined or elevated spaces
- Bend, lift, stretch, and reach as needed

Requirements
As a Data Center Technician, you will work both independently and as part of a team to support critical infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to respond quickly to operational needs. You will be responsible for installing hardware, troubleshooting systems, maintaining documentation, and resolving issues within the data center. Key Success Factors
- 1+ years of relevant experience in computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT field
- Basic knowledge of commonly used IT concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently resolve tickets and follow SOPs
- High school diploma or equivalent, * Experience using ticketing systems to manage tasks and priorities
- Experience working in a data center environment
- Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent professional/military experience in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, network engineering)
- Understanding of network design, protocols, and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting
