We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Applications Systems Engineer who will be integral to the development and operation of our advanced telematics enterprise web applications platform. You will collaborate across product, engineering, quality assurance, and support teams to drive platform reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will ensure alignment across disciplines and help deliver seamless, secure, and scalable solutions to internal and external customers.

What you will do:

  • End-to-End Management: Working closely with Embedded Systems Engineering, oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for the telematics enterprise web applications platform, from requirements gathering, development, through deployment and maintenance.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Lead and facilitate communication between product owners, developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective collaboration.
  • System Architecture and Design: Contribute to and influence system architecture decisions, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security.
  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Manage and improve QA processes, including test strategy, automation practices, and defect tracking. Ensure delivery of high-quality products.
  • Platform Reliability: Monitor platform performance and stability; proactively identify and resolve potential issues or bottlenecks.
  • Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in development and QA workflows to increase team velocity and product quality.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure thorough design, configuration, test, and operation documentation in compliance with enterprise standards and relevant regulations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate regular status updates, demos, and feedback sessions with stakeholders.
  • Support: Provide technical support during platform releases, upgrades, and incident responses as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, enterprise web applications, or systems engineering. Preferred experience in the HVAC, automotive, logistics, or telematics domain.

  • Experience with telematics, IoT, or connected platform technologies is highly desired. Exposure to regulatory standards (e.g., data privacy, security) preferred. Strong knowledge of enterprise web application frameworks, relational databases, and cloud architectures (e.g., Azure, AWS).

  • Demonstrated expertise developing and supporting applications using .NET (C#), Java, or other object-oriented programming languages. Experience with real-time data processing, microservices, API integration preferred.

  • Proven success leading or coordinating cross-functional teams (development, QA, product).

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience working in Agile and Scrum environments, with a solid understanding of Agile principles and Scrum ceremonies.

  • Familiarity with QA methodologies, CI/CD, test automation, and agile practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
