Job description

As a Software Engineering Manager in Workspace One team at Omnissa, you will be a leading a team of high performing engineers working on building features and capabilities in Workspace UEM platform for our Vulnerability Defense project.

You will demonstrate a culture of ownership, respect for the opinions of others, and partner closely with other product and engineering teams. You will work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a healthy sense of urgency, continually improving engineering processes and architecture. You will be expected to solve complex problems at an enterprise scale, to continue to expand your knowledge through sharing and listening to others, and to champion measurable, data driven outcomes.

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers to achieve their professional goals and drive high performance. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered with high quality, on time and within scope. Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team. Ensure best practices in software development, architecture, and design are followed
  • Track and analyze team performance metrics. Implement improvements and address any issues to ensure continuous growth and development.
  • Active participation in recruiting, onboarding, and developing top engineering talent.
  • Active engagement with different stakeholders - Product Managers, Solution Architects, Security Engineering, and other members within Engineering to define and deliver the required solution.
  • Active participation in all stages of software development - requirement, design, coding, Test Automation and debugging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical training.
  • 5+ years of enterprise software development experience with 3+ years managing a team.
  • 3+ years leading engineering teams shipping and deploying product to customers in real world environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

You are expected to be proficient in the following:

  • Experience in a modern programming language such as Java or .NET
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems and/or distributed systems (high-availability, scalability/performance, security)
  • Experience in delivering end-to-end distributed SaaS applications and highly scalable products
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Hands on experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery methods and practices
  • Proven expertise in Agile development., E ducati on: Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education an d relevan t professional experience.

Benefits & conditions

Compensation: The typical base salary for this role is between USD $166,575 - $ 277,625 per year and it may be eligible for participation in a corporate bonus program. Actual compensation offer may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, or other relevant factors.
