Sr Infrastructure Engineer

QSSHire is partnering with a secure customer to identify a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support a mission-critical datacenter environment. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure professional with deep expertise in servers, networking, and storage systems, and a proven ability to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability across enterprise infrastructure. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing and maintaining the critical infrastructure supporting datacenter operations. You will oversee the operation and optimization of servers, networks, and storage systems, configure and manage Cisco switches and firewalls, and support enterprise-grade compute platforms such as HPE and Dell servers. You will also work with advanced storage systems including Dell, HPE, and PureStorage NAS, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and operational continuity., * Provide infrastructure engineering support for a secure, high-performance datacenter environment.

• Ensure seamless performance and reliability of critical systems including servers, networks, and storage.
• Support physical infrastructure planning and documentation to enable scalable growth and sustainment., * Datacenter Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain servers, networking, and storage systems supporting enterprise datacenter operations.
• Network Operations: Configure and manage Cisco switches and firewalls to support secure and reliable connectivity.
• Server Administration: Deploy, manage, and optimize enterprise compute platforms including HPE and Dell servers.
• Storage Systems Management: Support advanced storage solutions including Dell, HPE, and PureStorage Network Attached Storage (NAS), ensuring integrity and accessibility of mission data.
• Cabling & Connectivity: Manage copper and fiber cabling, ensuring efficient connectivity across datacenter infrastructure.
• Power & Cooling Capacity Planning: Estimate and optimize resource utilization through power and cooling capacity management.
• Infrastructure Documentation: Create and maintain detailed infrastructure diagrams and rack layouts using Visio or DrawIO, including physical connections, server rack mapping, and network topology.
• Troubleshooting & Sustainment: Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues efficiently, ensuring high availability and operational continuity.

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) (required)

• Strong experience working in a datacenter environment with a background in datacenter operations

• Experience in power and cooling capacity management

• Hands-on expertise with hardware and network configurations

• Proven track record managing complex infrastructure environments

• Deep understanding of enterprise-grade hardware and networking solutions

• Familiarity with: o Cisco networking equipment (switches/firewalls) o HPE and Dell server platforms o Advanced storage solutions including Dell, HPE, and PureStorage NAS

• Ability to document and plan infrastructure changes with high attention to detail, * Experience with structured cabling standards and best practices (copper/fiber)

• Experience with datacenter power distribution, cooling optimization, and capacity planning methodologies

• Experience creating physical rack elevation diagrams and end-to-end network layout documentation
