Job description
One of our clients is seeking a Zscaler Security Policy & Zero Trust Enablement Specialist to support the secure rollout and operationalization of Zscaler as part of its zero-trust network access strategy. This role focuses on network-based access controls, segmentation, and enforcement, translating current network and security practices into scalable Zscaler policies that can be applied consistently across agencies.
This resource will work closely with the organization's network, security, and compliance teams, as well as external vendors, to ensure Zscaler policies are enforceable, auditable, and aligned with zero trust principles-without disrupting mission-critical operations.
Requirements
Strong background in network security, access control, and policy development.
- Familiarity with zero trust network access (ZTNA) concepts and secure access platforms.
- Ability to analyze complex, legacy network environments and translate them into enforceable policies.
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Direct experience configuring Zscaler security and access policies
- Familiarity with CJIS, NIST 800-53, or similar frameworks
- Experience supporting large, multi-agency or public-sector environments
- Experience balancing strong security controls with operational realities
Benefits & conditions
Compensation: $50/hr to $55/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
