Job description

You will be a Cyber Systems Security EMBEDDED Engineer in the Program Protection Organization. Our organization oversees all aspects of Anti-Tamper and embedded Cybersecurity across Missiles and Fire Control. We are chartered with providing the skills and innovative technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain secure products across our Lines of Business., As the Cyber Systems Security Engineer you will be responsible for providing embedded System Security Engineering design and implementation in all aspects of System Security Engineering (SSE) process in development of Department of Defense (DoD) Weapon Systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and mitigating System Security threats/risks throughout the embedded Weapon System development life cycle.
  • Validating System Security Engineering requirements decomposition, allocation and analysis for embedded Weapon Systems.
  • Implementing System Security Engineering solutions hardware and software.
  • Verifying implementation of system security requirements.
  • Designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining state of the art System Security architectures and countermeasures to protect and enable innovative new Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control products.
  • Analyzing weaknesses, vulnerabilities and threats against System Security posture on product designs.
  • Prototyping and testing System Security countermeasures that defend against cyber-attacks against Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Weapon System products.

*For a level 3, we typically look for a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Requirements

  • Experience working within the DoD systems development life-cycle (SDLC)

  • Experience with embedded systems design, microcontroller programming, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).

  • Implementing System Security requirements on DoD systems to meet U.S. government compliance requirements.

  • Experience supporting validation and verification of security requirements on DoD systems.

  • Possess an approved DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT/IAM Level II (CISSP, CAP, etc.) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date in order to meet program requirements.

  • Must be a US citizen - this position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance with an Interim Secret prior to start. Desired Skills:

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
