Job description

The Design and Analysis Engineer 3 supports the development of mission computer subsystems and hardware across the full product lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testing. This role involves designing electronic and electrical systems, validating performance, and ensuring compliance with operational requirements. The engineer collaborates with suppliers, supports fielded systems, and contributes to troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts. Strong technical expertise in hardware development and system integration is essential., * Develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Design hardware, software, and interface specifications.

  • Support full product lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, system design, lab design, integration testing, and flight test.

  • Validate and verify system designs to ensure compliance with operational and functional requirements.

  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure integration and compliance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fielded hardware and software.

  • Conduct research on emerging technologies and evaluate potential applications.

  • Support technical subcontractor management and customer interactions.

  • Physical Requirements & Environment

  • Ability to work onsite in an engineering environment.

  • Ability to work a 1st shift schedule with potential for overtime.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years of experience in an engineering classification, OR a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years of experience in an engineering classification, OR a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification, from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with hardware and LRU development, testing, and qualification.

  • Knowledge of subsystem design, requirement allocation, and technical supplier management.

  • Experience using lab equipment for hardware development, troubleshooting, and data capture.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across systems, hardware, and software architecture.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
