Job description

A rapidly growing managed services provider and startup focused on supporting M&A-driven initiatives for Fortune 500 clients is seeking a highly skilled D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Developer. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and enjoys building scalable, high-impact solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing D365 F&O solutions, working closely with functional consultants and stakeholders to deliver customizations, integrations, and enhancements aligned with Microsoft best practices., * Design, develop, and customize D365 F&O solutions using X++ and related technologies

  • Build and implement extensions, integrations, and system enhancements

  • Develop SSRS reports, data entities, batch jobs, and workflows

  • Support data migration efforts, including building and validating data entities and scripts

  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with Microsoft best practices

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments

  • Participate in code reviews, testing cycles, and performance tuning initiatives

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation (design specs, code documentation, deployment guides)

  • Support deployments and post-go-live stabilization activities

Requirements

  • Must have worked in an MSP environment for at least 3+ Years

  • Proven experience as a D365 F&O (or AX) Developer, including full lifecycle implementations

  • Strong proficiency in X++ (extensions, classes, forms, tables)

  • Experience with D365 integrations (OData, Data Management Framework, REST APIs, custom services)

  • Solid knowledge of SSRS reporting, SQL Server, and Power BI integrations

  • Hands-on experience with data entities, batch processing, and workflows

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (version control, CI/CD pipelines, deployments)

  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills

  • Deep understanding of D365 F&O architecture and development lifecycle

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Certification: Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Apps Developer Associate

  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)

  • Exposure to ISV and third-party integrations

  • Knowledge of security roles, personalization, and system administration in D365

  • Background in finance, supply chain, or manufacturing environments

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)

  • Ability to travel up to 10% for client engagements

  • Fully remote (EST or CST preferred)
