Job description

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs)

  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security to ensure optimal operation

  • Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime

  • Manage user access, permissions, and network security protocols

  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and VPNs

  • Support cloud-based and hybrid network environments

  • Perform regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery planning

  • Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures

  • Collaborate with IT teams to support system integrations and infrastructure upgrades

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices

Requirements

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our organization's network infrastructure in a fully remote environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of network systems that support business operations and remote connectivity. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in network administration, troubleshooting, and security, along with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across distributed teams., * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+ years of experience in network administration or IT infrastructure roles

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs)

  • Experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, or similar)

  • Familiarity with firewall and security systems

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills for remote collaboration

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (valid U.S. work permit required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Security+

  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (Python, PowerShell)

  • Knowledge of zero-trust architecture and advanced network security practices

  • Experience working in a fully remote or distributed environment
