Job description
This is an Information Security Analyst II position on the DOR Security Center Operations Team, located in the Information Systems Program in Tallahassee. Cybersecurity is one of the fastest growing fields with endless opportunities for monitoring and mitigation of security threats. Customer service, time management, and effective communication are extremely important to this role. This is an intermediate level technical position with the expectation of monitoring appropriate cyber security controls to safeguard the Department's data and infrastructure. This job will involve responding to information security incidents, assessing information security risks, reviewing violations of computer security procedures, and development of the integration, testing, operations, and maintenance of systems security. This position is expected to be able to effectively work within a team, as well as independently, on assignments.
Requirements
- Two years of IT cyber security, networking, or similar hands-on technical experience encompassing a combination of customer support, network, and security.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
- A degree in information technology, computer security, or closely related focus can substitute on a year for year basis.
PREFERENCES:
- One (1) year of experience with firewall traffic analysis.
- One (1) year experience with vulnerability scanning.
- One (1) year experience implementing, configuring, or using a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tool.
- One (1) year experience with Identity and Access Management Solutions.
- One (1) year experience in Office 365 Mail Flow/Rule Administration.
- One (1) year experience in monitoring web traffic.
- One (1) year of experience in a security operations role.
- Any IT certification similar to the following: CISSP, COMPTIA Sec+, CEH, CCNA, CISA.
- Customer service experience.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Visio.
