ICF Next is seeking a Social Media Planner to support a high-visibility federal client within the national security space, focused on large-scale recruitment marketing and employer branding initiatives. This is a fully onsite role within a secure government environment requiring close, day-to-day collaboration with client stakeholders. The role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of social media activities across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with recruitment goals, content strategies, and employer brand standards.
The planner will work closely with strategists, content creators, and stakeholders to manage content calendars, coordinate approvals, and support consistent, high-quality publishing across channels. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience managing social media workflows in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Job Location
Onsite - Washington, DC (government facility, Metro accessible). All work is performed onsite in a secure federal environment. Limited telework may be authorized only as permitted by the client and contract requirements.
What You Will Do
- Plan and manage social media content calendars across platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
- Coordinate development, review, and approval of social media content with internal teams and client stakeholders
- Schedule and publish content in alignment with campaign priorities, brand standards, and accessibility requirements (Section 508)
- Support execution of social media campaigns, including organic and paid initiatives
- Monitor social media channels for engagement, comments, and trends, and escalate issues as needed
- Conduct social listening activities to identify audience insights, trends, and opportunities
- Track content performance and contribute to reporting on key metrics such as reach, engagement, and growth
- Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and visual identity across all social platforms
- Support real-time and event-based content execution, including rapid-turnaround posting needs
- Maintain documentation, workflows, and collaboration tools to support efficient content production and publishing
Requirements
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Washington, DC
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field
- 5+ years of professional experience supporting social media planning, coordination, and execution for organizational or brand accounts
