Job description

Provide direct IT support for integration and launch operation activities in Kent for the New Glenn program. Configure, deploy, support and maintain mission critical IT hardware, including workstations, servers, hypervisors, switches, printers and other launch command/control assets. Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible, Netbox, Puppet, Chef, GitLab, etc.

Build robust, fault tolerant on-prem infrastructure to support unique customer requirements for data systems control and monitoring. Identify sources of system degradation and mitigate, or provide detailed relevant data such as pcaps, quantitative data, and logs to network engineers for further triage. Evaluate existing data sources such as syslogs, monitoring tools, and firewall logs.

Generate and modify user accounts through standardized identity management tools (Active Directory), Facilitate the creation of software and hardware deployment baselines built in accordance with established STIGs. Inventory management, including maintaining internal asset tracking tools, spares procurement, physical restocking, and deployment. Assist in the creation of writing automation scripts in Powershell and Bash Assist with deploying and maintaining industrial controls software, hardware and protocols. Support occasional overtime and overnight operations for test and launch campaigns. Occasional travel to support deployed ground systems infrastructure across the country., Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S.as a refugee or granted asylum.

Requirements

Practical knowledge and experience with standard network protocols (ie DHCP, DNS, NPS, SQL, SNMP, SMTP, NFS, etc) Prior experience utilizing IT support documentation and workflow automation tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Remedy, SalesForce) 3 years of IT Support experience in both Windows and Linux environments Experience following technical documentation and procedures. Prior experience operating and maintaining AV systems. Ability to lift and install heavy server and communications equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired: Experience with launch vehicle, aircraft, or spacecraft manufacturing, integration, and test Knowledge of industrial controlsystem and managed network switches Prior experience managing web servers, including basic proficiency with HTML, JavaScript, and SQL. Experience writing technical documentation and procedures.
