Job description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to to help transition from on-premises to a modern, cloud-based environment. This position offers the opportunity to influence and build our future tech stack using the latest cloud technologies.
Job duties include managing existing servers and applications, implementing new systems and applications, and monitoring the environment. This position will be working closely with DevOps and Help Desk, providing technical assistance for both teams.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Work with IT leaders to develop strategies and plans to enhance client services, improve user effectiveness, and foster innovation.

Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements.

Design, deploy, and support applications, network and systems, ensuring security, availability, and performance.

Design, develop and support IAM solutions.

Implementation and management of tools and processes for ongoing operations, including:
o Monitoring
o Alerting
o Security Controls
o System redundancy
o Backups/Restore
o Disaster Recovery

Troubleshoot and resolve issues, including networking, security, and systems-related challenges.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and maintain system uptime.

Assist and provide backup coverage to technical support staff to provide end user technical support for all business systems

Document system configurations, procedures, and architecture for reference and compliance purposes.
Requirements

3-5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, with at least 2 years supporting Microsoft 365 environments

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog preferred)

Strong PowerShell scripting experience for M365 administration.

Deep understanding of M365 licensing, service limits, and hybrid configuration options.

Experience with mobile device and application management using Microsoft Intune.

Be well versed in general infrastructure technology and understand public and private cloud concepts such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).

Strong project management, organizational and time management skills.
