As a Senior Business Intelligence/Data Engineer, you'll help transform how we understand and optimize member interactions by building scalable, cloud-based reporting solutions that power insight across the organization.
The Senior Business Intelligence/Data Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring data-driven decision-making across Humana's contact center and member engagement platforms. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex Interactive Voice Response (IVR) reporting solutions and dashboards that deliver actionable insights at scale.
You bring deep expertise in cloud-based analytics, with hands-on experience using Google BigQuery and Google Data Studio (Looker Studio), and an understanding of modern data pipelines. This role partners with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to migrate IVR data from on-premises environments to Google Cloud Platform, integrate IVR data with enterprise data sources, and optimize reporting performance and reliability. Your success requires technical problem-solving skills, attention to data quality, and experience with improving member and associate experiences through insight.
You will report to a director and be part of the Consumer Digital Data Science and Analytics team. The team's mission is to create valuable insights from member interactions in the digital, IVR, and related channels to inform adoption and containment strategies.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex IVR channel reports and dashboards using Google BigQuery and Data Studio
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IVR channel data with other data sources and systems
- Optimize and improve the performance of IVR channel reports and dashboards
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IVR channel data and reporting, To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:
- At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
- Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence engineering, with a focus on IVR channel and Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of Google BigQuery, Data Studio, and Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with data pipeline development using tools such as Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Dataflow, or Apache Beam
- Familiarity with IVR channel technology and data structures
- Certification in Google Cloud Platform or equivalent, * Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Advanced in SQL, SAS and other data systems
- Experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI
- Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and predictive modeling
- Experience creating analytics solutions for the healthcare sector
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (ADO, Jira, etc.)
Benefits & conditions
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$89,000 - $121,400 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
