Job description
- Design and deploy enterprise network solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments with a focus on security, scalability, and high availability.
- Lead network automation initiatives using APIs, infrastructure-as-code, and orchestration tools to streamline provisioning, enhance compliance, and reduce operational risk.
- Configure and maintain next-generation firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems with advanced security policies, authentication protocols, and segmentation strategies.
- Manage and optimize routing, switching, and overlay/underlay architectures including EVPN-VXLAN and BGP for robust connectivity.
- Serve as an escalation point for critical network incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime.
- Partner with InfoSec, application teams, and managed service providers to enforce security standards, monitor threats, and conduct audits.
- Document network architecture, operational procedures, and compliance evidence to support technical teams, audits, and disaster recovery exercises.
- Evaluate existing infrastructure and recommend modernization, optimization, and cloud-native strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Mentor IT staff, share best practices, and contribute to continuous knowledge-building across the network and security teams.
Requirements
Our client is seeking a skilled and security-focused Network Engineer III to design, implement, and maintain highly available and resilient network infrastructure across hybrid environments. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives on innovation, automation, and collaboration to deliver secure, scalable network solutions that support business goals and operational excellence., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise networks across wired, wireless, and cloud environments.
- Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and secure network architectures, including spine-leaf designs and zero-trust principles.
- Proficiency with NGFW platforms, cloud-managed networking solutions (Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto Strata Cloud Manager, Fortinet FortiCloud), and multi-cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with network automation, APIs, infrastructure-as-code, and orchestration platforms to streamline operations and enforce security policies.
- Deep understanding of enterprise wireless technologies, 802.1X authentication, IoT segmentation, and guest isolation.
- Skilled in incident response, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning for critical network infrastructure.
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills to translate technical concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
