Job description

The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining servers, computer systems, hardware, software, and related client infrastructure. This role ensures stable, secure, and efficient IT environments while providing technical support and guidance to end users via phone, email, and ticketing systems. The Administrator also assists with the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Brite internal systems, tools, and processes. A strong focus on Microsoft 365 administration, security awareness platforms, and process improvement is essential., * Collaborate with project leads to complete assigned tasks within defined scope and timelines, ensuring successful deployment of IT projects for clients.

  • Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly; update administrative tools and utilities; configure or add new services as needed while coordinating with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain Brite internal tools and systems as assigned.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex trouble tickets on the Support Desk.
  • Work closely with the help desk and other technical teams to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and provide advanced technical support.
  • Support customer onboarding activities using BriteStar tools and standardized processes.
  • Implement client solutions both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Develop, maintain, and document installation, configuration, and operational procedures.
  • Perform proactive maintenance of customer network environments to ensure reliability and security.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in assigned tools and technologies and contribute to peer training and knowledge sharing.
  • Administer and support KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training, including user provisioning, phishing simulations, campaign management, reporting, and continuous improvement of security training workflows.
  • Lead or assist in process optimization initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance documentation, and improve operational efficiency across internal and client environments.
  • Provide advanced administration of Microsoft 365 services, including:

SharePoint Online: site creation, permissions, content management, and governance

Exchange Online: mailbox administration, mail flow configuration, security policies, and compliance

Entra ID: identity lifecycle management, MFA, conditional access, and security posture improvements

  • Support and participate in email migration projects, including cutover, staged, hybrid, IMAPtoM365, and tenanttotenant migrations. Responsibilities include planning, data validation, migration execution, and post-migration support.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized M365 deployment templates, governance frameworks, and best practices.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Participate in the oncall afterhours rotation as needed.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Workflow management (operations management method)?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field OR 3 years of experience in a related technical role.

  • CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+, and Microsoft Associate/Expert certifications preferred.
  • Experience in Managed Services environments is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, email migrations, or security awareness platforms is highly desirable., * Proficiency in troubleshooting workstation software issues across Microsoft Windows 711 and Microsoft Office 2021, 2024, and Apps for Business/Enterprise.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft online services, including Azure, M365, Entra ID, and Exchange Online.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online administration and M365 governance concepts.
  • Strong hardware repair and troubleshooting skills for PCs, desktops, and laptops.
  • Ability to support and troubleshoot serverbased software issues with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and newer, including Active Directory.
  • Experience with hypervisor technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with major EDR solutions and enterprise backup platforms.
  • Experience administering KnowBe4 or similar security awareness platforms.
  • Understanding of email migration tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements and workflow optimizations.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Effective project management and organizational skills.
  • Selfdirected, detailoriented, and resultsdriven.
