Lead Quality Engineer

Overview Job Title: Lead Quality Engineer Job Location: Melville, NY (100% onsite) Salary: $100,000-$150,000/yr DOE Responsibilities + Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001. + Perform Supplier Source Inspection of Final Article + Conduct internal audits and prepare detailed audit reports, support customer and regulatory audits. + Develop inspection plans, control plans, and quality metrics. + Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards for electronic assemblies. + Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). + Collaborate with department management to resolve quality issues and improve processes. + Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports. + Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. + Ability to analyze complex issues using Fishbone and 5-Whys, identify root causes, and

implement effective corrective actions. + Skilled in working with department management and cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives. Qualifications + Bachelor's degree Engineering and minimum 9 years prior relevant experience. Graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years prior related experience. + Minimum 7+ years in aerospace quality engineering. + ASQ CQE certification preferred; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt a plus. + Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001. + Proficiency in quality tools (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, MSA). + Excellent communications skills, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Stellant Systems is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
