Insight Global is hiring multiple Software Test Engineers, a Test Lead and a Software Test/QA Manager to support a defense contract in Westminster, CO. The mission is focused on the development, integration, and qualification of software-defined RF mission capabilities for next-generation aircraft systems. This effort modernizes how aircraft sense, identify, and communicate in contested environments by delivering flexible, software-first solutions that operate on open architectures rather than proprietary hardware., and Identify Friend or Foe - Interrogate (IFF-I). All software is developed in C++, aligned to prescribed government reference architectures and coding standards. Test and integration span unclassified and classified environments, including Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) pipelines, culminating in Functional Qualification Testing (FQT). The Software Testing Manager serves as the single management point of contact for the software test workstream. This individual leads an independent test team and owns staffing, onboarding, delivery governance, reporting, risk management, and continuous improvement across the lifecycle of the program., * Define and execute the overall test strategy across the program
- Align test activities with program milestones and release plans
- Lead readiness for SRR/SFR, PDR, Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and CDR
- Own test-related SDRLs and evidence
- Ensure requirements-to-test-to-defect traceability
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans and schedules
- Coordinate test execution across teams, environments, and releases
- Act as escalation point for quality, schedule, and resource risks
- Track progress, dependencies, and risks
Requirements
- 8+ years in software test engineering or verification, including leadership responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience owning test strategy and TRR readiness
- Experience testing C++ systems within prescribed architectures
- Strong traceability and defect lifecycle management experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance - Experience across SIL, HIL, emulator, or hardware-representative environments
- Prior experience supporting radar or RF mission systems
Benefits & conditions
Pay Range: Pay will be hourly and varies by level of experience. Average Range: ~$65-90/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
