CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Network Administrator within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Network Administrator installs, configures, and maintains an organization's computer networks and systems, including hardware like routers and switches, software, servers, and firewalls. Key duties include monitoring network performance, troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring network security, and providing technical support to users. Essential skills involve expertise in networking concepts, operating systems, hardware management, and strong problem-solving abilities. This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Installation & Configuration: Setting up and configuring network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls, along with the associated software and services.
- Maintenance & Upgrades: Performing regular maintenance, applying software and security updates, and upgrading network equipment and systems to improve performance and security.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Consistently monitoring network stability and performance, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and addressing user support requests.
- Security: Implementing and maintaining network security programs, installing firewalls, and ensuring proper authentication configurations to protect data and communications.
- Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical documentation for network systems, user settings, and network policies and procedures.
- User Support: Providing technical support to users, assisting them with network-related issues and resolving configuration problems.
Requirements
Journeyman:
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, operating systems, servers, routing protocols, and diagnostic software.
- Hardware & Software: Hands-on experience with network infrastructure (LANs, WANs), server management, and cybersecurity devices.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate technical information to non-technical users and management.
- Organization: Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, maintain system documentation, and work independently.
Senior:
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, operating systems, servers, routing protocols, and diagnostic software.
- Hardware & Software: Hands-on experience with network infrastructure (LANs, WANs), server management, and cybersecurity devices.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $200000.00.
