Job description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Seattle, WA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role will join a development team as a product owner, coordinating with clients and lines of business to successfully deliver projects on time. The ideal candidate will be accountable for coordinating the development of technology solutions appropriate to business needs and objectives, and will oversee the implementation of programs, projects or processes.
Responsibilities: Own and manage a mix of simple to complex features within development teams Serve as a single point of contact and the escalation point between the client/business area and the development team for the resolution of unresolved problems, complaints, and complex service requests Be accountable for coordinating the development of technology solutions appropriate to business needs and objectives, and oversee implementation of programs, projects or processes Involve in the coordination of translating business strategy into work programs and processes Be accountable for adhering to enterprise standards for documentation in software delivery tools (Jira, Remedy, Confluence, etc.)
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a business analyst or project manager 5+ years of experience working on a team with the Agile Methodology, leading a software development team to successfully deliver projects Experience with Scrum, sprint planning, burn down and velocity reporting, backlog prioritization, and retrospectives Experience in design principles and design patterns Strong background in a disciplined software development life cycle (SDLC) process Experience with JavaScript Ability to manage scope, estimation, project status, reporting, and escalation Experience gathering required info into Business Requirements Documents, wireframes, epic and story writing, flow diagrams, data mapping, test plans, use cases and scenarios Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technology partners
