Back-End Engineer 16595 (Digital)

Seeking a Senior Back-End Java Engineer (7-10 years) to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices supporting enterprise digital banking platforms. This role focuses on Java 17+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Azure DevOps within a cloud-native (Azure) environment. The engineer will work independently on complex initiatives, contribute to architecture decisions, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional Agile teams. Prior banking or large financial institution experience (Capital One, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, or similar) is strongly preferred.

• 7-10 years of backend Java development experience
• Strong hands-on expertise with Java 17+, Spring, Spring Boot
• Proven experience with Microservices Architecture
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• RESTful APIs, J2EE, and distributed systems troubleshooting
• SQL and relational databases
• Cloud-native development in Microsoft Azure
• Experience in banking/financial services environments preferred
• Strong analytical, system design, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
