Job description
The client is seeking a DevOps Engineer focused on AI-driven automation and platform efficiency to help streamline development workflows, implement automation strategies, and support infrastructure initiatives across a multi-cloud environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Act as the team's automation subject matter expert, identifying opportunities to improve engineering workflows using AI and automation
- Evaluate development processes and recommend improvements to increase engineering efficiency
- Lead sprint planning processes including standups, backlog organization, and task delegation
- Define technical requirements and scope for infrastructure and automation projects
- Collaborate with DevOps, application development, cybersecurity, and AI teams to align automation initiatives
- Design and implement AI-powered tools or agents to improve operational efficiency
- Write, modify, and execute Terraform code to support infrastructure automation when needed
- Support containerized infrastructure using Kubernetes and Docker
- Analyze current platform infrastructure modules and identify opportunities for optimization or rework
- Document processes, technical designs, and project plans to ensure scalable and repeatable workflows
Requirements
- Must-Haves:

5-8 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or automation-focused engineering roles

Strong experience implementing AI-driven automation within engineering or development workflows

Experience managing or coordinating complex technical projects across multiple teams

Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or similar IaC platforms)

Kubernetes experience, preferably with AWS EKS

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

Strong scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation initiatives

Ability to evaluate technical processes and translate them into structured implementation plans

Experience with Ansible for configuration management

Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab or similar tools
