Job description
As a Systems Administrator SME at GDIT, your work will have a meaningful impact on GDIT's mission. You will be central to the design, implementation, and support of Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC) platform services, including telephony, voice, conferencing, and Microsoft 365-integrated solutions and services.
Lead/Manage/Support As a Systems Administration SME at GDIT, you will craft innovative solutions to complex challenges, customizing advanced technologies to meet the unique needs of our clients. Specializing in UC Collaboration and Voice/Telephony services, you'll prioritize enhancing the end-user experience, while we focus on advancing your career growth.
Collaborate with the M365 Services and Database Team to implement and deliver outstanding support for Microsoft 365 Teams, Unified Communications & Collaboration services, Voice, Telephony and related emerging technologies. As a GDIT Systems Administration SME you will play a key role in making today secure and tomorrow is smarter.
Drive efforts to enhance and optimize existing technologies, implement new innovative solutions, and collaborate with other teams to integrate systems that improve security, functionality and services for GDIT users.
Our work depends on a Systems Administration SME joining our team to design, implement and support Microsoft 365 Teams, Unified Communication Collaboration services, Voice, telephony and related emerging technologies to service, protect and secure GDITs position in the marketplace.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or an equivalent combination of Technical Training, Certification(s) and additional work experience Experience: 10+ years of related experience Technical skills: Strong background in telecommunications, networking, and voice communication technologies. Prior Experience supporting Microsoft Teams and hands-on experience supporting solutions with Microsoft Azure AD and AD Connect. PowerShell and Graph scripting. Administration of Session Boarder Controllers. Role requirements: Strong leadership and management skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Experience with the installation or support of Unified Communications (UC), VoIP, SIP, PSTN telephony solutions , Experience with hardware and software testing, integration, installation, configuration and problem solving, especially for Windows 11 clients and Windows Servers Preferred Skills: Telecom Session Boarder Controller (SBC), Proficient with PowerShell, Graph and other scripting skills used to automate processes
Location: Must be able to go into the Herndon, VA office a minimum of 3+ days a week
