The Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) Engagements Subject Matter Expert (SME) will drive the implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) at Raytheon. You will collaborate with the Raytheon Systems Engineering solution development teams to implement Model Based Engineering (MBE) capabilities and practices as part of the standard Raytheon Digital Engineering Ecosystem. You come to this role with a strong background in hardware product development combined with experience in MBSE, Model-Based Engineering (MBE), and Model-Based Product Line Engineering (MBPLE). This is an onsite role located in Tewksbury, MA.
What Will You Do
- Drive Systems Engineering processes on your engagements
- Create and validate MBSE models including Stakeholder Needs/Requirements; Behavioral Diagrams; Structural Diagrams; Measures of effectiveness/technical performance measures
- Support the development of connectivity between MBSE tools and other hardware design/analysis tools
- Create specifications, interface descriptions, execute trade studies and analyses
- Lead multiple tool and environment integrations
- Develop and share best practices, mentor, and train others
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with systems, mechanical, or electrical design and analysis tools
- Experience with requirements development and management
- Experience with Cameo/MagicDraw/Teamwork Cloud and SysML modeling
- Experience with MagicGrid methodology and framework
- Experience developing products in various product development lifecycles including agile and waterfall
- Experience in integrating COTS solutions, * Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
- Familiarity with digital twin concepts
- Familiarity with Syndeia (semantic broker) by Intercax
- Familiarity with Product Line Engineering (PLE) and applying concepts to a SysML model
- Familiarity in digital ecosystems and data connectivity via digital threads
- Familiarity in data visualization in various tools including Power BI, Kibana, and/or Grafana
- Exposure to MBSE starting point models and MBSE Digital Engineering Environments
- OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) - Model User or Model Builder - Fundamental
- INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP)
- Ability to prepare and present status, plans, and risks to management
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
