Job description
VIZIO is looking for a proactive and forward-thinking manager for our technical project management team to enhance existing operations and engineering projects. In this hands-on role, you will help manage a team of technical project managers who are embedded within interdisciplinary software engineering teams, helping ensure on-time and within-scope delivery. There will also be opportunities for process creation and improvement, establishing and maintaining cross-team relationships, and working with leaders across the organization to achieve business success.
What you'll do...
- Team Management: Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate project managers, fostering a high-performing team environment.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Maintainclear and consistent communication with stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Process Improvement: Identifyand implement process improvements to enhance project management effectiveness.
- Performance Reporting: Trackteam and individualperformance,identifytrends, and provide regular reports to management.
- Risk Management: Serve as an escalation point for direct reports, working with external and internal leadership to resolve challenges and improve understanding.
Requirements
- Project Management experience
- Prior experience in a leadership role.
- Proficiencyin project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonalskills.
- Proficiencyin project management software andtools.

- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 6 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
