The Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, role is focused on deep analytics and insights over the global tech non-wage spend, providing actionable executive decision points. This role requires expertise in analysis and understanding the impact of spend decisioning on Global Tech P&L, coupled with a proven ability to drive segment wide solutions from insights gathered. The position involves performing analysis, building data sets, optimizing processes, and influencing multiple initiatives to meet strategic objectives. The successful candidate will leverage data-driven insights and effective communication to navigate ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and deliver impactful results across various technical domains within a dynamic environment.
About the team:
The Global Tech Strategy team focuses on optimizing non-wage spend to enhance operational efficiency. This team leads large-scale, cross-functional programs, managing complex dependencies and driving strategic technology solutions. Members apply advanced program management techniques, data analysis, and risk mitigation to deliver measurable outcomes. The team fosters clear communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with business goals. By leveraging technical expertise and strategic insights, the team supports scalable, high-quality technology initiatives that advance Walmart's mission and operational excellence worldwide.
What you'll do:
- Independently complete analytics and data gathering to support recommendations
- Share insights and recommendations with senior leaders to get buy-in for proposed solutions
- Partner across the organization to understand the decision drivers to non-wage spend
- Recommend and lead large-scale technical programs, coordinating cross-functional teams and resources to meet delivery goals
- Drive clarity and alignment on program scope, timelines, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
- Communicate progress and risks effectively to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making.
- Mentor team members on best practices in program management and technical execution.
Requirements
- 8+ years experience in strategy, business operations, consulting, or a similar role.
- Proven expertise in data analytics driving recommendations for senior leadership.
- Exceptional communication skills to summarize data and align executive audiences.
- Strong technical expertise in software and hardware systems design, cloud infrastructure, and service management framework.
- Proven ability to partner with finance, legal, and procurement teams to drive improvements in overall execution.
- Extensive experience in program management, including planning, and execution of complex technical programs.
- Proficiency in data analysis, quantitative methods, and leveraging insights to drive program success.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams and driving continuous process improvements.
- Strategic mindset with experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and prioritization frameworks.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners.

- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 6 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09158: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
