Job description

We are seeking an exceptional Principal Security Engineer to serve as the principal technical authority and leader for our enterprise security SIEM and data ingestion stack. This individual will lead a team of security engineers in architecting, implementing, managing, and operationally supporting mission-critical tools that protect the bank, detect threats in real time, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain resilient operations.

The role requires deep, hands-on expertise across SIEM and data ingestion platforms, as well as advanced network security technologies, combined with proven leadership in guiding engineers through complex projects. You will drive innovation, automation, optimization, and strategic roadmap execution while collaborating closely with CSOC, incident response, risk and compliance, infrastructure, and application teams., * Participate in the design, implementation, and delivery of Cybersecurity applications and appliances, including NGFWs, IDS/IPS, Anti-virus, Web Application Firewalls, etc.

  • Participate in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the security engineering team and associated appliances.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining cybersecurity solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned., Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. We're combining the best of both worlds: in-office and work from home. Remote roles will also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for moments that matter. Specific work arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of production support and design of Cybersecurity technologies, including but not limited to SEIM, database monitoring, enterprise log collection, etc.
  • 8+ years of operational experience with security technologies
  • 8+ years of implementing or utilizing technology lifecycles and best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the implementation of cyber security tools (hardware and software)
  • Experience in participating and leading projects and implementing new technologies and solutions
  • Expert level knowledge of core networking protocols including BGP, DNS, HTTP/S, DNS, etc.
  • Expert level knowledge of operating systems, e.g. Windows, Linux, & Unix
  • Expert level network troubleshooting skills utilizing packet capture/analysis packages such as Wireshark, TCPdump, etc
  • Excellent customer facing communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to research, evaluate, and devise course of action for security hardware/software and tools to make overall impact on the enterprise's existing security environment

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
