Job description
We are seeking a high-impact Engineering Manager who truly excels as a Player-Coach. This exciting role calls for a leader who is passionate about guiding a high-performing team while maintaining a deep, active connection to the codebase. This is an integrated leadership and technical role. You will lead from the front, setting technical standards, solving complex problems, and actively contributing to our services.
The foundational requirement for this position is current, active coding proficiency in C#.
What You'll Do:
- Active Technical Contribution: Dedicate time to hands-on coding, code reviews, and setting implementation patterns, primarily utilizing C#.
- Architectural Oversight: Lead the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of our highly scalable platform, requiring deep working knowledge of microservice architecture patterns and best practices.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of high-caliber engineers, fostering a strong culture of technical excellence and accountability.
- Product Impact: Partner closely with Product Management to define the technical roadmap and execute the delivery of high-quality, user-facing features that drive significant business value.
Requirements
- Strong C# Proficiency: Proven expertise with modern C# development, including its ecosystem, performance characteristics, and common frameworks. We are looking for candidates whose current or very recent role involves active, hands-on coding
- Microservices Expertise: Extensive, practical experience designing, deploying, and maintaining resilient, distributed, and scalable solutions built on a microservice architecture. This includes knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), service meshes, and inter-service communication protocols.
- SaaS Experience: Proven track record developing and deploying large-scale, high-availability SaaS applications.

- CP1 (Code Pairing): Live coding session with an engineer Solving a core coding prompt in C# in real-time (coding, compiling, solving); 90 minutes

We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation.The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $183,400 USD - $245,400 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
