Job description

Cherokee Nation System Solutions (CNSS) seeks a highly skilled Knowledge Management (KM) & Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Specialist to provide Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform administrative and development services in support of ONR Global's Science & Technology mission. This position will support the ONR Global Chief Information Officer (CIO), serving as the Technical Point of Contact (TPoC) for knowledge management systems and business process improvements.

The KM & BPR Specialist will play a vital role in enabling ONR Global to capture, manage, and optimize enterprise knowledge while streamlining business processes across the organization., * Serve as Microsoft SharePoint Site Collection Administrator, ensuring accurate, current, and compliant content management across ONR Global's Knowledge Management platforms.

  • Add, delete, and edit content in SharePoint Libraries, Lists, Site Collections/Columns, Workspaces, Pages, and Communities of Interest (COIs).
  • Enforce SharePoint permission policies for groups and individual users.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to SharePoint applications, workflows, and configuration standards to enhance content discovery and usability.
  • Manage and reconfigure SharePoint-based Grants Lists, Workflows, and Libraries to ensure FAR-compliance and authoritative records.
  • Draft and implement Knowledge Management best practices to improve user access, data storage, and information reuse.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in ONR and ONR Global business systems (e.g., Navy ERP, PPS, Business Intelligence tools), recommending enhancements for efficiency and process improvements.
  • Develop process enhancements and evaluate new business system capabilities, identifying value and limitations for ONR Global's mission.

IT Knowledge Management & Business Process Reengineering Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested

Requirements

  • Documented completion of a Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Site Collections Manager training course.
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated SharePoint 2013 proficiency, including site collections management and enforcement responsibilities.
  • At least 3 years of experience operating, maintaining, and editing content in SharePoint Libraries, Lists, Workspaces, Pages, and COIs.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing SharePoint permissions for groups and individual users.
  • At least **3 years of experience operating, maintaining, and editing SharePoint-based business applications and workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Demonstrated experience performing basic website administration (updating text, images, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Naval Research & Development Establishment (NR&DE).
  • Familiarity with Navy ERP and PPS systems for day-to-day execution support.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement process improvements leveraging SharePoint and ERP/PPS systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide business process reengineering expertise to enhance ONR Global's operational effectiveness.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for IT Knowledge Management & Business Process Reengineering Specialist:

Pay commensurate with experience.
