Job description
- Provide space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice for all project and program stages.
- Support acquisitions of advanced technology and integration activities.
- Advise on cost, schedule, and performance.
- Revise or draft Joint Capabilities Integrated Development System (JCIDS) and other acquisition documentation.
- Support presentations to internal and external customers.
- Develop work using latest government guidance (e.g., MIL-STD).
- Provide draft SME-level technical and/or programmatic status reports as requested.
- Identify and recommend improvements in acquisition processes.
- Assist in building and maintaining government risk programs.
- Maintain awareness of program schedules and monitor acquisition implementation.
- Report requirement shortfalls and provide program assessments.
- Advise on technical engagements such as meetings, design reviews, and conferences.
- Assist integrated product teams and establish interfaces.
- Provide technical and operational insights for mission protection and data assessments.
- Recommend solutions for technical anomalies and evaluate impact.
- Provide engineering and technical expertise for Command and Control (C2) efforts.
- Establish liaison between Space C2, Enterprise Ground Services (EGS), and classified program offices.
- Integrate C2 solutions with classified portfolio.
- Provide cybersecurity support in accordance with DoDI 8500.01.
- Offer recommendations on cyber activities and brief government on cybersecurity issues.
- Facilitate and support cybersecurity working groups and meetings.
- Manage program Authority to Operate, Authority to Test, Authority to Connect, and associated Interim Authorities.
- Support cyber testing and document findings and corrective actions in accordance with the Federal Information Security Management Act., This position does not supervise the work of others.
Requirements
- MA/MS degree is required.
- Ten or more years' experience in this type of position or program is required.
- Must be an expert in highly classified space control space, ground, and C2 systems (concepts development, build, and test).
- Must be an expert in maturing technologies through all TRL levels.
- Must be an expert in multiple space control-related technologies, including but not limited to optical, electronic support, signal processing, communications.
- Requires worldwide travel to support ground communications infrastructure.
- BA/BS degree is acceptable if the candidate possesses at least 12 years of experience in this type of position or program. The Materiel Leader may also waive the MA/MS requirement., Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.

The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc.
SALARY RANGE: $147,000 - $250,000 Annual Salary
